Abbas Ali

Co-Founder & CEO

Abbas is the Co-Founder and CEO of Gyld Finance. He previously led product development at J.P. Morgan’s Kinexsys division.
Prior to that he led Digital Identity and Partnerships at R3, where he worked with global banks and regulators to shape standards for compliant digital assets.
Abbas began his career developing capital markets infrastructure at IHS Markit and Ipreo, and earlier founded a venture-backed software startup in Waterloo, Canada.
He holds a B.Sc. in Leadership and Management Studies with a minor in Economics from New York University.

Ruchir Gupta

Co-Founder & CPO

Ruchir is a seasoned markets professional with over 15 years of experience across fixed income, derivatives, and digital assets.
Prior to Gyld, he served as Managing Director at GSR Markets, where he led options trading and managed a $1B+ crypto treasury operation.
He previously ran cross-asset trading and bond basis portfolios at Nomura. Ruchir combines deep expertise in risk, yield, and liquidity markets to bring institutional-grade structure and strategy to the emerging digital yield ecosystem.
Ruchir is a CFA Charterholder, and holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.

CTO

Chuan was most recently Software Development Lead at CoinShares in London, where he designed and built the firm’s next-generation digital asset trading platform, covering quantitative infrastructure, exchange connectivity, and trading automation powered by LLMs.
Previously, he was a Quantitative Developer at Millennium Global Investments and a Pricing Developer at Société Générale, where he built award-winning structured rates and fixed income pricing platforms.
Chuan began his career at PA Consulting and holds a Ph.D. in Design Automation from the University of Southampton and a B.Eng. in Electronic Engineering from the University of Sheffield.
